Thank you for visiting Connecting Spirit.
Connecting Spirit was created with anticipation and excitement for the future in 1994 by Emily Laurel and Turner Bourne.  This photograph was taken at the completion of our 2005 volunteer assignment at the Cajun Dome in Lafayette, Louisiana, in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Our Mission
Our mission is to help people connect within... with others... with Gaia or nature... With All There Is. We accomplish our mission through  Essential Oils and Aromatherapy, Creative Spirit Workshops, individual healing sessions, and holistic assessments.

We continually search for innovative new ways in which we support Connecting Spirit's mission. As we make exciting but practical discoveries, we include them among our offerings, thus creating an interesting synergy between the worlds of science, spirituality, and energy.

What We Offer
We work with individuals and small groups to create an environment for healing of the human spirit holistically.  

We consider the use of pure essential oils to be a superior tool for supporting healing of the body and mind and for the evolution of the human spirit.  Anointing Spirit, a division of Connecting Spirit, was created to provide integrated aromatherapy services and products for those who are ready to heal.

We are actively developing innovative solutions to bring holistic creativity into our communities through Creative Spirit.  Turner teaches workshops using art, music, and meditation to uncover and release unconscious emotions that create pressure in the bodymind system.

About Emily Laurel
Emily offers personal energy mapping, analysis, and correction with a special camera imported from Russia, the Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) device, to obtain information about subtle energy fields. In addition, she offers research assistance to subtle energy pioneers in the development of new energy products and services.

About Turner Bourne
Turner offers to her clients a BodyMind wellness technology which lends itself to each client's unique circumstances. She collaborates with Emily on research projects to design and implement research protocols.

Turner teaches massage therapists the scientific basis of subtle energy techniques and advanced uses of essential oils in healing the physical, psychological, and spiritual bodies of their clients.

Outreach, Education, and Research
Emily and Turner are serving together as educators and practitioners for medical and natural healing communities in the aftermath of the recent natural disasters on the Gulf Coast.  To learn more about our effort, please click here.  Our efforts were recognized in Young Living Magazine, January-March, 2006 issue.
